CXS has contacted GDOT about closing the SR 81 (Emory St.) railroad crossing (#279645H) for maintenance. GDOT has provided the attached detour route to Safety Services & Supply, Inc., and they will handle the setup and removal. They will also contact the local EMS, media, schools, etc. The detour will be in place Tuesday, September 30, and work should be complete, and the road reopened by COB on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025. The detour will utilize Herring Street, NW and Elm Street NE.
