NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN as provided in the NEWTON COUNTY COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ACT that a Caucus of Electors of the Highway 278 Community Improvement District (CID) shall be held on June 15, 2023, at United Bank (Board Room), 7200 Highway 278, Covington, Georgia 30014. One purpose of the Caucus is to elect Board Members to serve in Posts 2 & 4 on the Highway 278 CID Board. An additional purpose of the Caucus is to vote on the question, “Shall the Highway 278 Community Improvement District be dissolved?”. Registration for the election shall be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. Voting will occur immediately after each Elector who has arrived at the registration table by 12 p.m. has registered. A map of said District may be reviewed in the office of the Newton County Tax Commissioner or the City of Covington Clerk. All Electors as designated under the Act are invited to attend and cast their votes.
